Course Description:

 

     The 30-hour General Industry course is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

-Introduction to OSHA or Local Governmental Agencies

-Safety and Health Supervision, Management and Leadership

-Walking and Working Surfaces, including fall protection

-Emergency Action Plan, Fire Prevention Plan, Fire Protection

-Electrical Safety including Lockout/Tagout

-Personal Protective Equipment

-Fall Protection

-Ergonomics

-Health hazards – Industrial Hygiene

-Machine Guarding

-Bloodborne Pathogens

-Fleet Safety Management

-Hazardous Materials

-Welding, Cutting, and Brazing

-Workplace Violence Prevention

-Permit-Required Confined Spaces

-Other general industry safety topics as needed
